Solid Carbide 2 Flute Square End Mills

Solid carbide 2 flute square end mills are the preferred choice for high-speed machining of aluminum, copper, brass, and plastics. The open flute design provides maximum chip clearance, preventing chip packing and heat buildup in deep slotting applications. The sharp 90-degree square corner enables precise shoulder milling, keyway cutting, and general profiling operations.

Available in standard 30-degree helix for general-purpose work and 45-degree high-helix configurations for improved chip evacuation in deep cuts. Long-reach variants with relieved necks enable deep cavity milling. Premium micro-grain carbide substrates ensure consistent edge quality and extended tool life across a wide range of non-ferrous materials.

ISO application groups & cutting speeds. These 2 flute square end mills are optimised for ISO N materials (aluminum, copper, and other non-ferrous metals) where recommended cutting speeds range from 200 to 400 m/min at typical feeds of 0.005–0.03 mm per tooth. They are also suitable for ISO M (stainless steel) at 40–80 m/min and ISO K (cast iron) at 60–120 m/min. For maximum tool life in soft materials, run uncoated or polished-flute variants; specify AlTiN coating when pushing higher speeds in heavier sections. Match the parallel shank (standard 3mm–20mm range) to your collet or Weldon holder for rigidity at depth.
